The Benefits of Using Timber
Not on only does timber look great but it is also one of the most sustainable and eco-friendly building and landscaping products available. Australian White Cypress also has the advantage of being naturally termite resistant and highly durable.
Low Energy to Produce
As well as being natural product, timber is also very low in energy production costs compared to concrete and steel. Timber is made of carbon which is drawn from the atmosphere. Using timber stores that carbon for the life of the product.
Endless Design Possibilities
Because timber is easy to work and is so versatile, it is loved by designers and architects. From rustic sawn features to smooth dressed and profiled finishes to engineered beams, timber offers almost endless possibilities. It can be painted, stained and polished or left to weather naturally giving it great character.
Applications
Cypress has a wide range of applications, it is used for framing, fencing, decking, posts, stumps, cladding, flooring, garden sleepers and mulch. Like all timber it is often kiln dried and machined into products like flooring but it can be easily be machined green (unseasoned) making it a cheaper alternative to premium timber products.
